Daily Score Estimator

The Daily Score Estimator combines several signals from a completed day into one weighted score. It considers priority completion, overall task completion, focus quality, and energy level so you can compare days without relying on a single measure such as hours worked. The score is designed for personal tracking, weekly reviews, or habit experiments where the same inputs are recorded consistently.

The weighting gives extra importance to completing high-priority work, while still recognizing execution volume and the conditions under which the work was done. A strong score does not prove that every decision was optimal, and a lower score may reflect an intentionally lighter recovery day. The most useful application is trend analysis: record the score using the same definitions, then compare averages and note which factors most often limit performance.

Focus & energy average

1. Record priority outcomes
Enter how many priority tasks were completed and how many were planned.

2. Record total task outcomes
Count all completed and planned tasks using the same scope for both fields.

3. Rate focus
Use a 0–10 rating for sustained attention and resistance to distraction.

4. Rate energy
Use a 0–10 rating for physical and mental energy across the day.

5. Compare the score over time
Review the weighted score alongside its component rates rather than treating it as an absolute grade.

Daily score = 0.40 × Priority completion % + 0.30 × Overall completion % + 0.20 × Focus score % + 0.10 × Energy score %

Completion rates are capped at 100% so completing extra tasks does not offset missing planned priorities. Ratings are converted from 0–10 to 0–100.

What the result means

The result is a weighted personal performance indicator from 0 to 100.

Use consistent definitions and compare trends; the score is not a universal productivity standard.

Given: 3 of 4 priorities completed, 8 of 10 total tasks completed, focus rated 8, and energy rated 7.

Calculation: Priority = 75%; total tasks = 80%; focus = 80%; energy = 70%. Score = 0.40×75 + 0.30×80 + 0.20×80 + 0.10×70 = 77.

Result: The daily score is 77. Priority completion is the largest opportunity for improvement.

Why are priorities weighted more heavily?

The model assumes that completing important work matters more than maximizing task count. You can interpret the score only within that stated weighting.

What if I complete more tasks than planned?

Completion rates are capped at 100% to prevent unplanned small tasks from inflating the score.

How should I rate focus?

Use a consistent personal scale. A 10 should represent an unusually focused day, while 0 represents virtually no usable focus.

Can a recovery day receive a low score?

Yes, because the model measures execution against a plan. For planned recovery days, set an appropriately light task plan.

Should I compare my score with someone else’s?

Usually not. Different task definitions and rating habits make cross-person comparisons unreliable.
