1. Enter referral volume
Use the number of employee-referred candidates in the cohort or time period you are analyzing.
2. Enter referral hires
Count completed hires that came from those same referrals.
3. Keep the cohort aligned
Do not mix recent referrals that are still in process with hires from an older period unless that is intentional.
4. Review the conversion rate
The calculator divides referral hires by total referrals and expresses the result as a percentage.
