Calculation: OEE = 0.89 × 0.96 × 0.99 × 100 = 84.59%.

Should startup scrap reduce quality?

If startup pieces are produced during the measured production period and are not accepted as good output, they generally reduce the quality factor under that reporting convention.

How should planned maintenance affect availability?

It depends on your definition of planned production time. Excluding planned maintenance from planned production time gives a different availability result than counting it as downtime, so stay consistent.

Can OEE be calculated for an entire molding department?
