This planner turns a veterinarian-directed dosing interval into a simple breeding-care schedule. It is designed for breeders or animal caretakers who already have an approved amount and frequency and want to map a series of doses across a defined sequence of days. The calculator does not choose a drug, recommend an amount, or replace veterinary instructions.

Use the result to check the final scheduled day, total planned amount, and overall schedule span. If a dose is missed, delayed, changed, or stopped, follow the product label and contact the prescribing veterinarian rather than shifting the schedule on your own.

1. Enter the first scheduled day
Use day 1 or another day number that matches the start of your existing care plan.

Enter the number of days between doses exactly as directed by the veterinarian or product instructions.

Where:

  • Start day — the numbered day of the first planned administration
  • Dose count — the total number of planned administrations
  • Interval days — the instructed number of days between administrations
  • Amount per dose — the veterinarian-directed amount in the unit you enter

Assumptions: The interval and amount are supplied by the user from veterinary or labeled directions; no medical dosing recommendation is generated.

Given:
First scheduled day = 3
Interval = 7 days
Dose count = 5
Directed amount = 1.5 units per dose

Calculation:
Final day = 3 + (5 − 1) × 7 = 31
Total amount = 5 × 1.5 = 7.5 units
Span = 4 × 7 = 28 days

Result:
The fifth scheduled dose falls on day 31, with 7.5 total entered units across the plan.

Does this planner calculate the correct medication dose?

No. It only schedules an amount and interval that you enter from veterinary or product directions.

What should I enter for the first day?

Use the day number that represents the first planned administration in your care timeline. Day 1 is the simplest choice when starting a new schedule.

What if a dose is missed?

Do not automatically double the next amount or compress the interval. Contact the veterinarian or follow the specific labeled instructions for the product.

Can I use hours instead of days?

This version schedules whole-day intervals. For medicines requiring hour-specific timing, use the instructions supplied by the veterinarian or product label.

Why does the schedule span differ from the final day?

The span measures elapsed days between the first and last dose. The final day also includes the starting day number you entered.
