Quarterly Income Calculator

The Quarterly Income Calculator combines three months of recurring income with one-time receipts to estimate total gross income for a quarter. It also shows the average monthly amount and a simple annualized run rate.

The tool works for freelancers, small businesses, landlords, and households that need a consistent three-month summary. Use gross amounts from the same period and currency. The annualized value is a projection based on the entered quarter, not a guarantee that later quarters will match.

What the result means

The main result is the combined income entered for the three-month period.

Annualized income assumes the same quarterly total repeats four times and does not account for seasonality.

Given: Monthly income of $12,000, $13,500, and $12,800, plus $1,500 in other receipts.

Calculation: Quarterly income = $12,000 + $13,500 + $12,800 + $1,500 = $39,800. Average monthly income = $39,800 ÷ 3 = $13,266.67.

Result: Total quarterly income is $39,800, with a simple annualized run rate of $159,200.

Can I enter net income instead of gross income?

Yes, provided every entry uses the same net basis. Do not mix gross monthly values with a net one-time amount.

Why is other income divided across three months?

It is included in the quarter total, so the monthly average spreads the full quarter across three months for comparison.

How should refunds or negative adjustments be entered?

This version accepts nonnegative income values. Subtract refunds or adjustments from the affected month before entering the amount.

Does the annualized run rate handle seasonal income?

No. It simply multiplies the quarter by four. Use several quarters or a seasonal forecast when income varies substantially.

Is this the same as taxable income?

No. Taxable income may exclude certain receipts and include deductions or adjustments. This calculator totals the income figures you provide.
