1. Define capacity per cycle
Enter how much useful work one equipment unit can support in a single complete cycle.
2. Enter cycles per hour
Use a sustainable cycle frequency, including normal loading, positioning, and return time.
3. Set utilization
Enter the percentage of scheduled time the equipment is expected to be productively cycling.
4. Enter equipment units
Count identical units that can operate simultaneously.
5. Enter hours per day
Use the planned operating hours for the equipment, not automatically the full site shift if setup or shutdown reduces runtime.
6. Review effective capacity
Compare hourly and daily effective throughput with the production demand the equipment must support.
