TikTok Ads Funnel Calculator

The TikTok Ads Funnel Calculator projects how impressions move through clicks, leads, and customers using stage-by-stage conversion rates. It combines awareness, traffic, lead generation, and sales assumptions in one model so marketers can see where volume is gained or lost.

The calculator is useful for campaign planning and bottleneck analysis. Because each stage compounds the previous one, small changes in CTR, landing-page conversion, or lead close rate can materially change the final customer estimate and implied acquisition cost.

1. Enter impression volume

Use planned impressions or actual delivery for the selected campaign scope.

2. Add expected CTR

Enter the share of impressions expected to become clicks.

3. Set the lead rate

Use the percentage of clicks expected to submit a lead or complete the middle-funnel action.

4. Set the close rate

Enter the percentage of leads expected to become customers.

5. Enter ad spend

Add media spend to calculate the implied customer CPA.

6. Review stage outputs

Compare clicks, leads, customers, and CPA to identify the assumption with the greatest leverage.

Formula:

Clicks = Impressions × CTR Leads = Clicks × Click-to-Lead Rate Customers = Leads × Lead-to-Customer Rate Customer CPA = Ad Spend ÷ Customers

Where:

  • Impressions: planned or delivered ad impressions
  • CTR: clicks as a decimal share of impressions
  • Click-to-Lead Rate: leads as a decimal share of clicks
  • Lead-to-Customer Rate: customers as a decimal share of leads
  • Ad Spend: media cost used to calculate final CPA

Assumptions: Enter percentages as percentages; the calculator converts them to decimals. Each stage is assumed to apply uniformly to the entire prior-stage volume.

What the result means

The main result summarizes estimated customers from the values entered above.

Use consistent reporting periods, event definitions, attribution settings, and currency when comparing scenarios or campaigns.

Given:

  • Impressions: 1,000,000
  • CTR: 1.2%
  • Click-to-lead rate: 8%
  • Lead-to-customer rate: 12%
  • Ad spend: $10,000

Calculation:
Clicks = 1,000,000 × 0.012 = 12,000; Leads = 12,000 × 0.08 = 960; Customers = 960 × 0.12 = 115.2; CPA = $10,000 ÷ 115.2 = $86.81

Result: 115.2 estimated customers and $86.81 estimated CPA

Interpretation: The assumptions imply roughly 115 customers, with each stage narrowing the original impression volume.

Can I use purchases instead of leads?

Yes. Rename the middle stage conceptually to match your funnel, but keep the rates consistent with the entered stages.

Why are customer results shown as decimals?

The model produces expected averages. Actual customer counts are whole numbers, so round conservatively for staffing or inventory decisions.

Which rate has the greatest impact?

All stage rates multiply together, so a proportional improvement at any one stage has a proportional effect on final customers. The weakest operational stage may still be the best place to focus.

Can I enter an organic close rate?

Use a close rate that reflects leads generated from comparable TikTok traffic. A blended rate from unrelated sources may overstate or understate results.

What happens when estimated customers are zero?

Customer CPA cannot be calculated because division by zero is undefined. Increase volume or use nonzero stage rates before interpreting CPA.
