1. Measure the bar zone
Enter the floor area dedicated to the bar, nearby standing space, and queueing that is actually available.
2. Reserve the service footprint
Subtract the counter, back-bar equipment, staff lane, storage, and other space guests cannot occupy.
3. Set space per guest
Use a density that fits the intended standing, cocktail-table, or queue arrangement.
4. Read the capacity
The calculator divides remaining guest area by the chosen allowance and rounds down to a whole guest.
5. Check operational limits
Compare the area-based result with venue occupancy, queue design, bartender throughput, and accessibility requirements.
