Does this estimate a CCPA response deadline?

No. It estimates operational review capacity only. Legal response timing depends on the type of request, applicable rules, and the facts of the request.

What should I use for average review time?

Use active handling time per item, ideally from a recent sample of similar work. Include recurring steps that reviewers normally perform, but avoid double-counting time already excluded from productive hours.

Why does the calculator use 4.345 weeks per month?

It converts weekly staffing capacity to an average monthly figure using 52.14 weeks per year divided by 12. For a specific calendar month, actual available workdays may differ.

What does utilization above 100% mean?

Under the entered assumptions, incoming work is greater than available review capacity. The queue may require more staff time, lower handling time, triage, or another operational change.

Can I use this for privacy work outside California?

Yes as a workload model, because the arithmetic is generic. You should separately apply the deadlines, verification rules, and legal requirements that govern the relevant jurisdiction.
