Creator Course Revenue Estimator

The Creator Course Revenue Estimator forecasts net revenue from a digital course launch or enrollment period. It models traffic, sales conversion, price, refunds, payment fees, platform fees, affiliate commissions, and fixed production costs.

The calculation helps creators test pricing and funnel assumptions before a launch. Because course sales often occur in bursts, treat the result as revenue for the entered campaign period rather than recurring monthly income unless the funnel is consistently evergreen.

What the result means

The result estimates course revenue after refunds, percentage fees, affiliate commissions, and fixed campaign costs.

Cash collection timing may differ when students use installment plans.

Given: 25,000 visitors, 2.4% conversion, $249 price, 7% refunds, 8% platform/payment fees, 30% affiliate share, 35% affiliate commission, and $12,000 fixed costs.

Calculation: Buyers = 600. Net enrollments = 600 × 93% = 558. Revenue = 558 × $249 = $138,942. Fees = $11,115.36. Affiliate commissions = $138,942 × 30% × 35% = $14,588.91. Net = $138,942 − $11,115.36 − $14,588.91 − $12,000 = $101,237.73.

Result: Estimated net course revenue is $101,237.73 for the campaign period.

Is this profit?

It is net of the entered fees, commissions, refunds, and fixed costs. Ongoing support, instructor time, taxes, and unentered expenses are not deducted.

How do payment plans affect the estimate?

This model uses the full course price as expected revenue. For cash-flow planning, model collection timing and failed installments separately.

What does affiliate share mean?

It is the percentage of post-refund sales revenue attributed to affiliate-referred customers.

Should refunded students count as enrollments?

The net enrollment output removes the assumed refund rate, which is more useful for final revenue planning.

Can I use this for an evergreen course?

Yes. Enter traffic and costs for a consistent monthly or quarterly period rather than a launch window.
