What the result means

The main result estimates how far the entered number of steps covers at the selected stride length.

Step devices and stride estimates can be inaccurate, especially during irregular movement or non-walking activities.

Calculation: Distance = 10,000 × 75 ÷ 100,000 = 7.5 km. Time = 7.5 ÷ 5 = 1.5 hours. Calories = 7.5 × 70 × 0.5 = 262.5 kcal.

Result: Estimated distance is 7.5 km, requiring about 1 hour 30 minutes at the selected speed.

How can I estimate stride length?

Measure a known distance, walk it naturally, count steps, and divide distance by steps. Repeating the test improves the estimate.

Why does my watch show a different distance?

Devices may use GPS, cadence, height, calibrated stride, and proprietary filtering instead of a fixed stride length.

Does step count include running?
