This calculator estimates the annual capacity factor of a hydrogen electrolyzer by comparing its actual or forecast energy output with the maximum output possible at continuous full-rated operation. Capacity factor summarizes how intensively the equipment is used over a selected year.
Operators and project analysts can use the result to compare utilization across periods, test planning assumptions, or identify a gap between nameplate capability and delivered production. The percentage does not by itself explain the cause of downtime or low output, so maintenance records and operating constraints should be reviewed alongside it.
