What the result means

The main value repeats the average bpm used for the estimate; the breakdown quantifies the total beats implied during the monitored time.

Averages can conceal peaks, lows, and rhythm irregularities. Symptoms require clinical assessment regardless of the monthly average.

Calculation: Observed minutes = 16 × 60 × 30 = 28,800. Estimated beats = 72 × 28,800 = 2,073,600.

Is this the same as resting heart rate?

Not necessarily. It is whatever average the entered value represents; use resting readings only if you want a resting-heart-rate summary.

Can this detect an abnormal rhythm?
