Physical Product Bundle Calculator

This bundle calculator estimates the economics of selling several physical products together. It totals standalone value and bundle cost, then applies a bundle discount to show the customer price, savings, gross profit, and gross margin.

It is useful when designing multipacks, kits, gift sets, and cross-sell offers. The model assumes all entered costs are per complete bundle and excludes fixed overhead.

Bundle price = Standalone value × (1 − Discount rate); Gross profit = Bundle price − Bundle cost; Gross margin (%) = Gross profit ÷ Bundle price × 100

What the result means

The displayed value summarizes bundle selling price using the inputs entered above.

Use consistent units and matching reporting periods. Results are estimates for planning and review.

Given: $150 standalone value, $68 total bundle cost, and a 15% discount.

Calculation: price = $150 × 0.85 = $127.50. Gross profit = $127.50 − $68 = $59.50. Margin = 46.67%.

Result: Sell the bundle for $127.50 under these assumptions.

What should standalone value include?

Use the normal current prices of all included items, not inflated reference prices.

Should packaging be in bundle cost?

Yes, include bundle-specific packaging and other variable costs.

Can the discount be zero?

Yes. The tool then evaluates a bundle sold at full combined value.

What if margin is negative?

The discounted price is below total bundle cost; reduce the discount or lower costs.

Does bundling always increase profit?

No. It can lift order value but may reduce unit margin or cannibalize standalone sales.
