SEO Impression Calculator

The SEO Impression Calculator projects how many organic search impressions a keyword set or content portfolio may receive. It applies an expected impression share to available search volume, giving SEO planners a simple way to translate demand into visible search-result exposure.

Enter monthly search volume and the percentage of that volume expected to produce an impression for your property. You can also apply a seasonality multiplier for stronger or weaker periods. The result is a directional estimate, since search volume tools, ranking coverage, SERP features, geography, and personalization can all affect actual impressions.

Adjusted Search Volume = Monthly Search Volume × Seasonality Multiplier Estimated Impressions = Adjusted Search Volume × Impression Share ÷ 100

Search volume is the estimated number of searches in the selected market. Impression share is the percentage expected to show your result, and seasonality is a multiplier such as 1.10 for a 10% lift. The model assumes each eligible search contributes at most one counted impression for the property.

What the result means

The result is the projected number of organic result impressions for the month under the selected assumptions.

Keyword tools often round or model search volume, so use scenario ranges rather than treating the output as an exact forecast.

Given: 200,000 monthly searches, 35% expected impression share, and a 1.10 seasonality multiplier.

Calculation:
Adjusted volume = 200,000 × 1.10 = 220,000 searches
Estimated impressions = 220,000 × 35% = 77,000 impressions
Average daily impressions = 77,000 ÷ 30.44 = 2,529.6

Result: The plan projects about 77,000 organic impressions in the month, or roughly 2,530 per average day.

Is search volume the same as impressions?

No. Search volume estimates total demand, while impressions count how often your result is actually shown.

How should I choose impression share?

Use historical coverage for similar keyword groups or create low, base, and high scenarios. Avoid treating ranking position alone as a complete share estimate.

Why is the month divided by 30.44 days?

30.44 is the average number of days in a month across a year. It provides a neutral daily average.

Can I combine keywords with overlapping intent?

You can, but overlapping keyword estimates may double-count some searches. Deduplicate or segment the keyword set when possible.

Does the estimate include paid search impressions?

No. The intended scope is organic search visibility only.
