Soccer Training Performance Score Estimator

The Soccer Training Performance Score Estimator combines five common training or match metrics into a 0–100 summary score: pass completion, duel success, shots on target, high-intensity running completion, and coach-rated tactical execution. It is intended for players or staff who want a consistent composite view of a session block without reducing performance to a single event count.

Each input remains visible in the calculation logic, so the total can be traced back to technical, physical, and tactical components. The score is not an official federation metric and should not be used to compare different positions without context; a center back and a striker can have very different expected profiles. It works best when the same player, role, and data-collection method are tracked over time.

1. Enter the baseline
Enter pass-completion percentage from the session or match sample.

2. Add workload details
Enter duel-success and shots-on-target percentages using the same time period.

3. Set intensity or context
Enter the percentage of your planned high-intensity running target that was achieved, capped at 100 for scoring.

4. Review the output
Rate tactical execution from 0–10 based on your coaching or review process.

5. Use the result
Review the total and component scores, then compare with prior samples from the same role and competition level.

The composite score is:

Score = 0.30 × Pass completion % + 0.20 × Duel success % + 0.15 × Shots on target % + 0.20 × High-intensity running target % + 0.15 × (Tactical rating × 10)

All percentage inputs use 0–100. Tactical rating is entered on a 0–10 scale and multiplied by 10 before weighting. The weights sum to 1.00.

What the result means

The score is a weighted snapshot of the entered technical, physical, and tactical indicators on a 0–100 scale.

Position, opposition quality, tactical role, and data definitions can change what a “good” value looks like, so use consistent context when comparing scores.

Given: 84% pass completion, 56% duel success, 48% shots on target, 92% running-target achievement, and tactical rating 8/10.

Calculation: 0.30×84 + 0.20×56 + 0.15×48 + 0.20×92 + 0.15×80 = 74.0.

Result: 74.0/100. The component view shows whether the score came mainly from technical, physical, or tactical performance.

Is this an official soccer performance rating?

No. It is a custom weighted index for consistent self- or team-tracking using the listed inputs.

Can different positions use the same score?

They can use the same formula, but expectations differ by role. Comparing a defender directly with a forward may be less useful than tracking each player against their own baseline.

What if I had no shots in a session?

If shots on target is not meaningfully measurable for that session, entering zero will lower the score. For role-specific analysis, interpret that component cautiously.

How should tactical execution be rated?

Use a consistent 0–10 rubric from video review, coach assessment, or a predefined checklist. Consistency matters more than false precision.

Why include a running-target percentage?

It adds a physical-execution component to the technical statistics. It should be based on a target that is appropriate for the player and session type.
