  1. Total the standalone prices

    Add the regular prices of all items or plans included in one bundle.

  2. Set the bundle discount

    Enter the percentage reduction from the standalone total.

  3. Enter bundle product cost

    Use the combined direct cost of the included items.

  4. Add fulfillment cost

    Include incremental packing, handling, or delivery cost for one bundle.

  5. Enter expected sales volume

    Use bundles sold in the reporting period.

  6. Review savings and margin

    Confirm the offer is valuable to customers and still supports acceptable contribution.

Bundle price = Combined standalone price × (1 − Bundle discount rate)
Contribution per bundle = Bundle price − Product cost − Fulfillment cost
Contribution margin = Contribution per bundle ÷ Bundle price × 100

The model assumes every bundle has the same composition and does not include percentage payment fees, taxes, refunds, or fixed overhead.

What the result means

The main result is the customer-facing bundle price after applying the entered discount to the combined standalone price.

A positive contribution margin does not guarantee overall profitability; acquisition, overhead, refunds, and inventory risk also matter.

Given

A wellness bundle contains plans worth $64 separately, offers a 12% discount, costs $24.50 in products and $4.20 to fulfill, and sells 700 bundles.

Calculation

Bundle price = $64 × (1 − 0.12) = $56.32.
Contribution = $56.32 − $24.50 − $4.20 = $27.62.
Margin = $27.62 ÷ $56.32 × 100 = 49.04%.

Result

The bundle price is $56.32, saving customers $7.68 and producing $19,334 in period contribution.

Should shipping be included in fulfillment cost?

Include shipping when the business absorbs it. If customers pay shipping separately, analyze that revenue and cost consistently.

Can I enter a bundle discount of 100%?

Yes, but the bundle price becomes zero and contribution margin is not meaningful; the calculator displays 0% margin.

What if contribution is negative?

The bundle price does not cover the entered direct costs. Reduce the discount, change the contents, or lower fulfillment cost.

Does the standalone total include existing discounts?

Use the prices customers would otherwise pay for the same items. This makes the displayed savings understandable.

How is this different from average order value?

This calculator designs one bundle’s economics. AOV measures actual average revenue across completed orders.
