Team Score Estimator

The Team Score Estimator creates a weighted team performance score from delivery, quality, collaboration, and reliability ratings. Each dimension is entered on a 0–100 scale, while editable weights let you reflect the priorities of a specific review period.

The output is best used as a structured summary rather than a definitive judgment. It can support retrospectives, compare the same team over time, or reveal which dimension has the largest effect on the combined score when the scoring rules remain consistent.

Result
The result is a normalized weighted average from 0 to 100. Higher-weight dimensions influence the final score more strongly.

Reliability contribution

1. Rate delivery
Score completion against committed scope, timing, and expected outcomes.

2. Rate quality
Consider defects, rework, review findings, and the standard of completed work.

3. Rate collaboration
Assess communication, support, handoffs, and constructive participation.

4. Rate reliability
Reflect predictability, follow-through, and consistency.

5. Set the weights
Assign greater weight to dimensions that matter most; weights do not need to total 100 because the calculator normalizes them.

6. Interpret the breakdown
Compare each weighted contribution and identify the strongest and weakest raw dimension.

Team score = Σ(Dimension score × Dimension weight) ÷ Σ(Weights)
Contribution for a dimension = Dimension score × Dimension weight ÷ Σ(Weights)

What the result means

The result is a normalized weighted average from 0 to 100. Higher-weight dimensions influence the final score more strongly.

Scores depend on the definitions and evidence used to rate each dimension. Keep rubrics stable when comparing periods or teams.

Given:
Delivery 82 at 35%, quality 88 at 30%, collaboration 76 at 20%, and reliability 91 at 15%.

Calculation:
Weighted total = 82×35 + 88×30 + 76×20 + 91×15 = 8,395.
Total weight = 35 + 30 + 20 + 15 = 100.
Team score = 8,395 ÷ 100 = 83.95.

Result:
The weighted team score is 84.0 out of 100. Collaboration is the lowest raw dimension and may deserve the closest review.

Do the weights have to add to 100%?

No. The calculator divides by the sum of all weights, so any positive total is normalized.

Can I add attendance or customer impact?

This version uses four dimensions. You can reflect another priority by adjusting the closest dimension or by using a separate scorecard.

Should every team use the same weights?

Use the same weights when you need comparable scores. Different weights are appropriate only when priorities genuinely differ and comparisons are labeled accordingly.

What happens if every weight is zero?

No weighted score can be calculated. Enter at least one positive weight.

Is this a substitute for a performance review?

No. It is a numerical summary and should be combined with evidence, context, and qualitative discussion.
