1. Enter the base tonnage
Use the asphalt quantity before any waste or ordering overage is added.
2. Set the allowance percentage
Enter the project-specific percentage you want to add to the base quantity.
3. Enter a typical truck payload
Use the average delivered payload if you want a rough load count. This does not force loads to be whole numbers.
4. Review the added tons
Check the allowance tonnage separately from the adjusted total so the size of the buffer remains visible.
5. Use the truckload estimate carefully
Round and dispatch loads according to supplier and project practices rather than relying on the fractional load count alone.
