1. Enter measured power
Use a power value in watts from the test or device you want to evaluate for basketball. Keep the power definition consistent when comparing sessions.
2. Enter body mass
Use body mass in kilograms measured close to the test date. Convert from pounds first if necessary.
3. Review watts per kilogram
The headline result divides power by body mass and reports W/kg.
4. Compare like with like
Compare the result only with tests using the same power measure, equipment, and duration. Peak power and average power are not interchangeable.
5. Use the ratio with absolute power
A high W/kg value does not replace the absolute watt figure; both can matter for sport performance.
