1. Measure the conversion area
Enter the floor area that will actually be converted, not the entire property footprint.
2. Set a base labor rate
Enter expected labor hours for each 100 square feet. Use a rate based on your scope, crew history, or contractor estimate.
3. Adjust for complexity
Use 1.00 for a baseline job. Increase the multiplier for difficult access, extensive framing, utility changes, or unusually detailed finishes.
4. Add fixed work
Enter hours for preparation, protection, mobilization, cleanup, or other tasks that do not scale directly with area.
5. Review the schedule baseline
The main result is total labor hours. The breakdown also converts that total to 8-hour labor-days for easier crew planning.
