Monthly Macro Calculator

The Monthly Macro Calculator scales daily protein, carbohydrate, and fat targets to a full month. It reports total grams for each macronutrient and estimates calories using the standard energy factors of 4 calories per gram for protein and carbohydrate and 9 for fat. This can support meal-prep and inventory planning when you already have daily targets. Label values and real foods can vary because of rounding, fiber treatment, alcohol, and product formulation, so the calorie total is an estimate.

1. Enter daily protein
Use grams per day from your selected plan.

2. Enter daily carbohydrate and fat
Keep all inputs on the same daily basis.

3. Set the number of days
Choose the actual planning period.

4. Review grams and calories
Use monthly grams for food planning and the calorie estimate as a consistency check.

Daily macro calories = (Protein g × 4) + (Carbohydrate g × 4) + (Fat g × 9)

Monthly calories = Daily macro calories × Days. Each monthly macro total equals its daily grams multiplied by days.

What the result means

The main result is the estimated energy represented by the three entered macronutrient targets across the period.

The calculation does not include alcohol and may not match package labels exactly because of fiber rules and rounding.

Given: 150 g protein, 250 g carbohydrate, 70 g fat, for 30 days.

Calculation: Daily calories = 150×4 + 250×4 + 70×9 = 2,230 kcal. Monthly calories = 2,230 × 30 = 66,900 kcal.

Result: The macros represent an estimated 66,900 kcal for the month.

Why are protein and carbohydrate multiplied by 4?

The calculator uses common energy factors of about 4 kcal per gram for protein and carbohydrate and 9 kcal per gram for fat.

Does fiber change the calorie estimate?

It can. Nutrition-label methods and fiber types vary, so the simple 4-4-9 calculation may differ from labeled calories.

Can the three macro values be zero?

Yes. The calculator permits zero for any macro, including all three, for arithmetic flexibility.

Does this choose a macro ratio for me?

No. It scales the daily targets you enter and does not prescribe an individualized diet.

How do I compare the result with a calorie target?

Divide monthly macro calories by days to confirm the implied daily calories, then compare that figure with your chosen daily energy target.
