Is the productivity reduction the same as an error rate?

No. It is a broad efficiency assumption for output per overtime hour. Error or rework rates can contribute to lower productivity but are not identical measures.

Can I use a different loss rate by shift?

This page applies one rate to the full overtime total. For different shift assumptions, calculate each group separately and add the lost-hour results.

What happens if I enter 0%?

No productive hours are lost, so every planned overtime hour is treated as fully productive. A 100% reduction would treat the overtime as producing no effective output.

Does this estimator include overtime pay cost?

No. It measures productive capacity in hours, not payroll cost. Use a yearly cost estimator when the financial cost of overtime is the main question.
