This calculator combines strength-training volume with perceived effort to create an RPE-weighted load for a repeated-load exercise. It first calculates tonnage from sets, reps, and external load, then scales that volume by RPE divided by 10.
The result is useful as a consistent within-program workload index, not as a standardized physiological dose. It does not distinguish movement range, velocity, proximity to failure, rest intervals, exercise complexity, or whether the same tonnage came from many light reps or fewer heavy reps.
