Weekly Body Mass Index Calculator

This calculator computes seven daily BMI values using one height and a weight entry for each day. It then summarizes the average, minimum, maximum, and change across the week.

BMI is a screening ratio rather than a direct measure of body fat or health. Daily weight fluctuations can reflect fluid and food mass, so the weekly pattern is usually more useful than one day.

Average weight
  1. Enter height in meters.
  2. Enter one weight for each day.
  3. Keep measurement conditions as consistent as practical.
  4. Review average BMI and the weekly weight range.

Daily BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height² (m²)
Average BMI = sum of seven daily BMIs ÷ 7

What the result means

The main result is the mean of seven BMI values calculated from the entered height and weights.

BMI does not distinguish fat mass from muscle mass and should be interpreted with other information.

Given: Height 1.75 m and average weight 72 kg.

Calculation: 72 ÷ 1.75² = 23.51.

Result: Average BMI is about 23.5.

Why does height stay the same for all days?

Adult height does not normally change meaningfully over one week.

Can I enter pounds?

Convert pounds to kilograms before using this metric version.

Why average seven BMI values?

Averaging reduces the influence of a single day’s temporary weight fluctuation.

Does a normal-range BMI guarantee good health?

No. BMI is only one screening measure.

What if one weight is missing?

This version expects all seven values; use a realistic recorded value rather than an invented one.
