Domestic Parking Calculator

The Domestic Parking Calculator estimates parking charges from hourly, daily, and fixed fees for a domestic trip or event. It supports repeated parking sessions and can include parking tax or service charges.

Use it to compare airport lots, hotel parking, garages, event venues, and street parking plans. The result separates the base charge from percentage charges and shows the average cost per parking day. Real facilities may use partial-day rounding, maximum daily caps, lost-ticket fees, or different weekend rates, so match the inputs to the posted rules.

Tax or service charge = Base parking charge × Charge rate ÷ 100

Parking total = Base parking charge + Tax or service charge

What the result means

The total is the estimated amount due under the hourly, daily, fixed, and percentage charges entered.

Do not enter both hourly and daily charges for the same time period unless the facility actually bills both.

Given: $4 per hour for 6 hours, $24 per day for 3 days, $10 in fixed fees, and an 8% charge.

Calculation: Base = 4 × 6 + 24 × 3 + 10 = $106. Charge = 106 × 0.08 = $8.48. Total = $114.48.

Result: Estimated parking cost is $114.48.

Should I use hourly and daily rates together?

Only when different portions of the stay are billed under each rate. Avoid double-counting the same hours.

How do I handle a daily maximum?

Use the lower of the hourly total and the posted daily maximum as the daily-rate input for each applicable day.

Does the calculator round partial hours?

No. Enter the billable hours after applying the facility’s rounding rule.

Can fixed fees include valet tips?

Yes, when you want them included in the total.

What if parking is free for part of the trip?

Enter only the paid hours and days.
