The uncapped estimate shows the linear projection before limiting the displayed score to 100%. Improvement per session is measured in percentage points, not a percent of the existing score. Learning usually slows as scores rise, so the linear assumption is best used for short planning horizons.

What the result means

The result is a scenario-based estimate of the assessment percentage after the planned study sessions.

Performance can vary with test difficulty, question mix, sleep, stress, and study quality; do not treat the estimate as a promise.

Given: Practice average 68%, eight study sessions, 1.5 percentage points of improvement per session, and an 85% target.

Calculation:
Total improvement = 8 × 1.5 = 12.0 points
Estimated score = 68 + 12 = 80%

Result: The estimate is 80%, leaving a 5-point gap to the 85% target.

How should I choose improvement per session?

Use your observed change across several similar practice sessions. A smaller assumption is usually more useful than an optimistic guess.

Does one session always produce the same gain?

No. The formula is linear for planning convenience, while real improvement often varies and may slow near higher scores.

What counts as a study session?

Use a consistent unit, such as one focused 45-minute block. Mixing very short and very long sessions makes the estimate less meaningful.

Why is the result capped at 100%?

Standard percentage scores cannot exceed 100 without extra credit. The uncapped estimate is shown separately to reveal when the assumption becomes unrealistic.

Is this the same as a grade calculator?

No. This estimates a future assessment score from study inputs; a grade calculator combines weighted course components.
